to me Hey everyone! Happy Thanksgiving :) Wish i was home to eat some turkey.. but thanks mom for the rolls :) so my week was good! being sister training leader is really hard tho.. i feel like im babysitting all the time haha everytime were in class or having study time someone comes in and says they need to talk to us, or someone is lost, or companions aren't getting along. Then is our job to go find them and help them. It has been a really good experience tho.. it has taught me a lot of patience and taught me how to love everyone! So got my flight plans the other day, i leave Monday December 2nd at 3:30am. my flight leaves SLC at 7:30am and then i fly to Detroit MI and arrive at 12:50 pm then leave there at 3:35 pm and arrive in the Philippines at 12:10am so like 19 hours later... i will arrive at Bacolod at 5:50 am on December 4th im so nervous!! Im so sad to say bye to my district and my new zone.. its going to be so hard! But im excited to finally get there and see what its like. I got alot of letters from travis he seems to be doing so good! Well i hope everyone has a happy thanksgiving :) Tell the brothers i say hi and that it would be nice to hear from one of them! I did hear from jordan but he did the dear elder wrong so it came to my email.. teach them how to do it. I have a fun day planned, We are going to a devotional and one of the 12 apostles are speaking to us :) then we are doing a huge service project, were making 350,000 dry soup bags to send out. They said that the news and stuff are going to be here so maybe you will see me! Well i dont have much time.. my p-day got messed up because of Thanksgiving but please tell everyone i say hi and that i miss them! We watched a mormon message video the other night called i am a child of God and its just a bunch of little kids singing and i just started bawling because it made me miss Boston and Nash.. It is so hard to not see little kids anywhere. Thats going to be really hard for me when i get to the Philippines. Well i want you all to know how grateful i am for you. There is so many people who have helped me get to where i am right now and im so thankful for all of you! This has seriously been the best experience of my life! Its super hard, but its so rewarding! Im so grateful for this Gospel and all it has done for me in my life. Im so grateful for the wonderful family and friends i have to support me. Especially my mom :) She has been so good to help me with whatever i need! I love her so much! Thanks again for all you have done! I love you all and hope to hear from you soon! :) Next letter will be from the Philippines im just not sure what day yet! Happy Thanksgiving!! :) Kabalo ako nga matuod ang Simbahan Ni JesuKristo, Kabalo ako nga propeta Si Joseph Smith sulat ang Libro Ni Mormon. Kabalo ako nga pagpalanga Ang Dios naton. Sa nalan Ni JesuKristo, Amen! :)

Hey everyone! This week was so great! Our Zone left for the Philippines and my district was the only district left. On Sunday I got a new leadership calling.. me and my companion are the new Sister Training Leaders! :) i am seriously so excited! Our responsibility is to take care of the the new zone that came in this week. We work with the Zone leaders and take care of the Zone. On Tuesday we got to go pick up our international missionaries.. we had 20 out of the 27 coming that were international! it was so crazy! we picked them up and made sure they got to their rooms okay. On wednesday we finally got to host new missionaries.. it was so fun! that night us and the zone leaders had to conduct a get to know you game for our new zone. it was so much fun, after we let them stand and bare their testimonies if they wanted to and it was so neat. they are all so spiritual and have all gone thru such hard things in their lives. Our main responsibility is to take care of the 12 new sisters. Most of them dont speak very good english but they are the sweetest girls ever. We are just suppose to love them and help them feel comfortable! Tonight they get to meet our branch president, President Capik. Were so excited to have them! I cant believe i can love them so much and i just barley met them. Its amazing! We have 3 from the kitibus islands and they are seriously the sweetest girls ever! they always just want to hug you and hold your hand its so cute :) Well the language is still coming along.. slowly but surely. im learning so much! I have got to see Ashlee a couple times :) she seems to be doing alot better than i did when i got here haha well i hope everything is going good at home! i miss you all so much and hope to hear from you soon! Love Sister Leifson :)

Half Way Done! Hey everyone! The MTC is seriously amazing i know i have said that a million ... Linzi Leifson to me Hey everyone! The MTC is seriously amazing i know i have said that a million times but it really is! i wish all of you could experience a few days here its so great :) when we got here our zone had been here for 3 weeks. They leave on monday and i am so sad! we have the best zone ever! The elders who are going to Tacloban are getting reassigned to Manilla until it is safe enough to let them go there. So now its only going to be my district of 9 until next Wednesday and we will be getting like 40 more missionaries. That means that my Elders will be the new zone leaders and then they will pick a companionship to be the new Sister Training Leaders :) I would love to get picked for that! Im gonna miss our zone so much!! So my back is still bugging me.. i have been going to Physical Therapy but it hasn't helped much. I got a blessing today for my district leader and it was so great! it was his first blessing ever so he was really nervous but the Spirit was so strong, he did an amazing job! We had a neat experience a few days ago..Me and my companion were at dinner and they have investigators here and some of them are just pretending but some of them really are investigating the church. So one of these investigators randomly sat by us so we started talking to her, we found out she is not a member and she is really investigating the church! we asked her about what the missionaries had taught her so far and she told us about Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon. We were able to bare our testimonies to her about what we knew (in english) and it was amazing! She said she wished we could teach her because she wanted to be taught by Sisters so we told her we would! We met with her and just let her ask any questions she had about the gospel and we answered them for her! it was such an amazing experience, i hope we helped her! We have still been visiting her and teaching her but its hard because we have 2 other investigators that were trying to focus on. But we love her :) This week was the first week that we did a whole 45 minute lesson in hiligaynon with NO NOTES!! it is so amazing. you really realize how much you know when you dont rely on notes and you let the spirit help you teach. We had our Tuesday night devotional with L. Tom Perry! It was so neat to have him right there with us! He talked for the first 10 minutes about the storm in the Philippines and all that they were doing to get the missionaries safe. He told us that Missionaries had tickets to get on the plane but people were paying large sums of money for a seat so they never got on the plane, as they were waiting there was an army guy who had a plane and he asked the missionaries what they were doing and they told him they didnt make it on their flight and he said "well what are you waiting for? Hop in!" he made 3 trips to Manilla and back to get the missionaries to safety. What an amazing guy! He talked all about companionships and how important they are it was an amazing talk! So im sure you all know about the storm, our teachers keep us updated everyday. We have seriously prayed so much for those people and hope they are doing okay. It is such a hard time for them but now they are going to be extremely humble and willing to hear our message. Im so grateful for the opportunity i have to go there and serve! Funny story.. When i was at PT i saw Trish and Ryli's grandma and grandpa Keetch! hahah it was so fun to see them :) Well my half way mark was on Tuesday.. i cant believe i am almost done here! Well thats all for this week! i hope to hear from everyone soon! Love you all :) Love Sister Leifson

Hey everyone! My week was great! I have not been homesick at all anymore :) The MTC is so amazing! The language is finally coming along a little better. We had our first investigator Cherry Mae that we taught for a couple days and one day we came to class and found out that she is now our teacher! haha so now she teaches us during class but also pretends to be an investigator and we teach her. We also teach Brother Hong he is our other investigator. Its super stressful planning a whole lesson in a language you just started learning but the spirit is so strong and we have help every time we teach. So there is a missionary here from Samoa and he is super nice but doesn't speak much english and for some reason he has super long nails.. like and inch long haha and he loves them long but everyone makes fun of him for them. So the other day i asked him why he didn't cut them and he said "can you cut them for me?" haha so the next day i brought my fingernail clippers and he let me cut them for him :) it was the funniest thing ever! his companion was so happy he said "finally i wont have cuts all over me now from those nails!" i seriously love it here so much! i wish i could spend half of my mission here and half in the Philippines. We had a Tuesday night devotional on Tuesday and we had Brother Zwick speak form the quorum of the seventy. He told us how much President Monson loves all the missionaries and how much he cares about each one of us. it was an amazing talk! then he told us that next week we will be privileged to hear from... L TOM PARRY!! :) im so excited!! its going to be so neat! This place is just full of amazing people! I will have you know that i haven't even drank all the Dr peppers you sent! and i haven't even missed drinking it! that was a tender mercy from the lord. I absolutely LOVE the food here! i was worried that i wouldnt like it but i love it! :) Also i have been so good and waking up in the mornings but.. my companions only have one complaint about me.. they say i have talked in my sleep every night! hahaha but i love my district so much we have a great time here! Well thats about all for this week! hope to hear from you guys soon! Tell everyone hi and that i miss them :) Love Sister Leifson :)
